Straight hair that's frizzy or flat? Start here
By CurlCart · Updated October 1, 2026CurlCart started with curls, but straight hair gets frizzy, flat and dry too. Here's how to get useful results if your hair is 1a to 1c.
In the quiz
Pick 1a-1c Straight. If frizz or dryness is the issue, add Frizz or Moisture. If you also have some wave underneath, pick wavy too. You'll see products listed for either.
What we have for you right now
Straight-hair results include shampoos, conditioners and leave-ins that the brand says are for straight hair or for all hair types. We'll be honest: we don't have stylers for straight hair yet, so your routine will usually show three steps instead of four. We're working on it.
A couple of easy habits
The American Academy of Dermatology suggests concentrating shampoo on your scalp and conditioner on the ends. That's handy if your roots go flat fast: keep conditioner on the lengths and ends, and see if your roots hold up better.
If frizz is the problem, ingredients like silicones are often what give smoothing products their slip and shine. Only use the silicone filter if you'd genuinely rather skip them.
Using heat?
Answer yes to the heat question and we'll show heat tools for your hair type and tool budget as well.
